Honestly from what I can see (Which isn't much) this doesn't really look like a rainbow to me. Don't take my word for it though.
Finally reached 6 tanks... oh god, this addiction is getting serious. 75g mbuna tank, 65g gold severum, 55g OB peacock breeding colony, 30g(36x18) growout, 20 long Dwarf Alto's, 10g fry tank.

Agreed. It strikes me as.. African. Maybe even a peacock. Again though, this is based on the picture which is kind of blurry. no offense.

Yes these are very similar to my peacock fry. I believe you've got some sort of African Cichlid there my friend. Me and many of the other people here could probably give you a positive ID as they mature:)

EDIT: I hadn't realized they were this small, I was thinking the fish pictured was a half inch. Now that I know how small they are, the first pics are actually pretty darn impressive! LOL.

It is almost certainly a cichlid. 99% percent sure. There are some other alternatives but most of them are to rare to be likely.

The most likely species by far is albino/white convict cichlids.

I agree with William! I hadn't even considered convicts. Good call man.

  9. Unhappy crap

Oh well, that sucks, Again i have community tanks, so no room for aggressive guys. and to be honest although i have seen some beautiful cichlids, they just arn't my type. I guess i will give them away :-) anyone gets a general consensus of what type they could be, let me know...the guy said they get colors, when they get older, but he also said they were rainbow so i take that with a grain of salt now. lesson learned...
