another catfish
Does anyone know what type of catfish this is, I got him about six months ago and he is really growing fast I just dont know what type of cat he is.

looks like an albino channel catfish maybe?
300 gallon mega tank: build in progress
75 gallon community tank: tetras, danios, corys, platies, otos, pearl gouramis, bristlenose pleco, assassin snails, red cherry shrimp, bamboo shrimp
70 gallon growout tank: clown loaches, sailfin pleco
60 gallon goldfish tank: fancy goldfish
29 gallon frog tank / 10 gallon tadpole tank: 1 leopard frog, 1 tadpole
10 gallon and 5.5 gallon betta tanks: 1 male betta each, sometimes snails

Channel cats get to be like 20-30 pounds lol. What size is your tank? Sounds interesting.
Finally reached 6 tanks... oh god, this addiction is getting serious. 75g mbuna tank, 65g gold severum, 55g OB peacock breeding colony, 30g(36x18) growout, 20 long Dwarf Alto's, 10g fry tank.
If I die young bury me in... An 8x2x2 with versa tops and a large sump for adequate filtration;)

I have him in a 55 right now, but am looking to get a 120 here in the near future

If I'm right and this is a channel cat, a 120g isn't going to cut it. This is one of those true monster fish that the average aquariast simply does not have the means to provide a proper home for.

95% sure it is a channel, my lfs sells them, it is a pond fish or at least a 500-600 gallon tank, and that is just to house it, thats not even big enough for him to live luxourious. lord the filer on that tank lol, 4x fx5s lol the are messy, if ya have a pond or raise it on the 125 till it is plate size, lmao

Yeah he is messy and growing fast, he has at least grown 3-4" in six months, he gets mad at me and swims so fast he almost shakes the tank. I got him for free and he is gorgeous, i just have the feeling he will have to go.
I already got rid of my blue cat and he was bigger than the albino.
