  1. Default Weird Question but Concerned

So just a few minutes ago I was doing a Water Change in my 30 Gal so of course I took the top off and when I came back into the room to put the new water in the tank my Female Con was flopping around on the floor. I have been trying to condition her and my Male for breeding so I was wondering does this affect her breeding status and if they have formed a bond has it been broken from her leaving the tank??

  2. Default

Sounds like she was trying to get away from an aggressive male.

  3. Default

cichlids are intelligent fish and will recognize each other for
quite a while even after separated. put her back in the tank and see how the male reacts. I doubt that the jumping out of the tank affected their previous relationship(paired or upaired) much.

  4. Default

My Male is a lot bigger so when he moves to fast she gets a little scared but as of now their relationship hasn't changed much at all they still dig together and act like she was never gone
