It may have been a tin foil barb, he was fast and mean. But yeah she dumped me with all the fish she didnt want but for 100 bucks for a 55,filter,rock,pump,stand,lid,plants AND fish I couldnt pass it up. Today i will be going to my local malawai store and trading them in on some smaller fish that wont grow to be 100 pounds, lol.

back to the id shark... i agree with flames post ammonia poisoning causes red streaks on the body as well as the fins. that is my best educated solution to the problem. tank needs a major overhaul. good luck

well the good thing is this hasnt happened, and all i knew to do was a major water change, which i did and it hasnt returned. Yesterday I took and donated him to my local malwai store and got some smaller rainbows. So now he is in a 300 gallon tank and will be alot better off.

Now I just need to get rid of my albino canal cat and i will be good. so if anyone is is or around st louis mo and is looking for a pretty big albino catfish let me know,i dont and wont keep him too much longer in this tank he needs a bigger one

glad to hear you're finding proper homes for your megafish you got stuck with. A lot of people aren't willing to do that and in the end their fish suffer.
300 gallon mega tank: sailfin pleco, clown loaches, silver dollars, roseline sharks, congo tetras
75 gallon community tank: black skirt tetras, danios, bronze corys, harlequin rasboras, otos, bristlenose and bulldog plecos, assassin snails, red cherry shrimp, bamboo shrimp
60 gallon goldfish tank: fancy goldfish

Oh I love my fishy's there is no way i would just leave them, the problem at first is i didnt know what i had and didnt know how big they would get. Once I found out how big, i knew they needed a new home. I TRY and put out as much good kharma so it can come back.Maybe that will help me get a 120gallon tank im wanting, lol
