Not sure how PetSmart feels about telling people to go home and cycle their tank first. Might not be something they take to. But if they don't go with it, you can at least tell them how to properly cycle WITH fish, not to buy 2 gallon tanks and not stock common goldfish and comets in 10 gallons.

I'd think it would be pretty cool to save hundreds of fishes lives by better instructing new fish owners.

Well no, no family to support yet haha. Although me and my girlfriend have had hopes of getting an apartment together halfway between my jobs and hers(she's a nurse). And also it would be a second job, so if they turn out to be a monster of a corporation I can let em have it and not think twice;p
Also thank you LH, Ammo=trites=trates. Got it. That was the main thing I was confused about as far as cycling goes:pFinally reached 6 tanks... oh god, this addiction is getting serious. 75g mbuna tank, 65g gold severum, 55g OB peacock breeding colony, 30g(36x18) growout, 20 long Dwarf Alto's, 10g fry tank.

In my area PetSmart employees are better informed and seem happier in their jobs than those from their nearest competitor. That and their aquariums are much cleaner.
Would that I could have talked with a knowledgable employee when I first started down this crazy road. I wish you all the best.5g hex desktop with The Dude, a crowntail betta;
16g bowfront with 3 ADFs and 6 danios;
50g with 20 neons, 5 hatchets, 5 julii corys, 6 ghost shrimp, and one dwarf gourami;

That's awesome that you've got your mind set to help people at work. Most people do it for the dollar. Good luck to you!

Sounds like you will be good at your job. The first and last time I bought fish there I took the net away from the "clerk" and cought my own fish.
