Default Female Sev? How to go about Pairing?

    0 Not allowed!
So, I've decided I'd like to dedicate my 65g to holding a mated pair of Golden Severums and probably nothing else (maybe a syno cat or something).

I have one Golden Severum which is about 5cm long and mostly pale yellow with a little bit of orange on her(?) anal fin. The dorsal fin is quite rounded.

(more pictures in my 65g Journal, see signature link)

At the LFS today they had 2 Golden Severums which were a bit bigger than mine, about 7-8cm. They had pale spots around their faces and gills and also pale stripes. Their dorsal fins were very pointed. Are these differences just age related or were those male and mine a female?

Also, how would I go about adding more severums in an attempt to get a pair? I feel as though my little guy/gal may get picked on as she is so small.
