I would suggest black no gloss for the back of the tanks

    +1.

Black would make all the inhabitants in the tank stand out.

Got some things done during thanksgiving.
Installed 4 emergency water drains with check valves
    Finished running the electrical wires
    Painted the room and stands
    Installed air duct for ac/heat
Placed one tank on the stand
The next tank will take some time since I need help to move it.

    Here are some pics....

This picture is taking a 90 and making it ~45... this is for electrical junction under the house.

Here is the paint I used

The room after two coats of paint

The room with the 7ft tank placed on stand

I am waiting for the K1 media to arrive so I can start to set up the filtration. I did not account for the height between the top and bottom rail of the stand. My sump will not slide into it like I planned. So, I will have to place the stand, place the sump inside of it and then the 300g on the stand. I want to make sure the sump does what I need it to do before I do that.

Lesson of the weekend... never PVC glue all the pipe until you make sure you added the nut to the bulk heads

Now that sounds like something that I would do

Water is flowing in the 240g!

One problem... the over flow is going up and down. I am wondering if that 90 degree turn is causing it. The pipe and overflow is 1.5". I have one pump running right now which is ~900-1000gph at the current height including the 90's. I have added a 1/8" drilled hole to the top of the overflow drain pipe but did not make a difference. Also, makes that gurgling sound when it fluctuates... Suggestions?
