Cleaning
Good afternoon everyone. I was wondering how you guys clean your aquarium decorations and plastic plants. I know beneficial bacteria live on them and didn't want to destroy it but was wondering if I could use tap water that was treated in place of tank water. Thanks

Except on initial purchase, I do not touch my aquarium decorations or plastic plants. If you must clean I would simply rinse them with the water used when completing a water change. That's what I do with my mechanical filter media.

+1 to above - I dont' touch my decorations either - if they are looking cruddy, simply wash them in used tank water.
