Had our first ultrasound this morning! It appears as though we are not as far along as we initially thought. They are saying we are 6 1/2 weeks in and the due date has moved to July 5th. Got to see the baby's heartbeat today though!!! Sooo cool!

Wifey has been a little sick lately though. They gave her an Rx that is supposed to help. we'll see.

Sometimes just starting the day with a dry cracker or tea can help with the nausea - best to not let the stomach get too empty. Yes, seeing the hearbeat is very exciting!

When they say women forget all the bad stuff......THEY LIE! I believe it must be a man that wrote that garbage. My oldest son is now 50 and I remember heartburn so bad that even eating a banana or a peanut butter sandwich would make me puke for hours. I ate so many saltine crackers that stocks in Sunkist must have soared through the roof.

Thanks everyone. I'll have her try crackers. She feels sick quite a bit, but only seems to throw up after she brushes her teeth. I guess the slight gag reflex pushes her over the edge?

    Hobbs - You're too funny!

I keep looking over at this image with a pee size shape in the middle of it! hard to believe that is little Demjor!! : ) I really hope everything goes well from here.

I was nauseated all day long...until the 3rd trimester...

...didn't matter...I still managed to gain entirely too much weight with each pregnancy...

The ultrasounds are cool...esp. if you can see that it's 100% a boy...but for hubby it was all 'unreal' until he actually held the baby for the first time...

Ugh. I'm sorry she's feeling sick. I felt sick constantly with my second, although I think I only threw up once. With my first, I felt sorta sick, but threw up more since I didn't know what I was doing. Small meals was the key for me. Lots of small meals.

Fortunately, the morning sickness should only last 3 months or so, at least IME. Then your wife will probably not be able to stop eating! Again, experience talking.

Congrats, and best wishes for a healthy little bean!!

My advice: slow down, think, and be willing to learn. Then you'll be fine, no matter what.
