I just found out early this week that my wife is pregnant!!! We have been trying for the past few months and finally got the job done! I'm so excited, I can't quit thinking about it! I guess the doctor told her she is about 8 weeks along and our first checkup and ultrasound is scheduled for 11/13/12. I will keep you updated as new things take place!

P.s. We have not told our families yet. We are waiting until after the ultrasound and checkup to tell them. We'll probably tell them on Thanksgiving. So if you are my friends on facebook, please hold comments back until after that. I figure I'm safe to talk here though!

    This all feels so unreal!!!

    LOL! Thank you!

He/She will be getting an early start on fish and reptile husbandry! I really want our kid to be well versed and comfortable around all animals.

That's wonderful news - so nice to see such an excited future daddy! A few months of trying is pretty good. May your wife have an uneventful, healthy pregnancy & baby.

Thank you! So far everything has been smooth. In fact, we had no idea she was really pregnant until after a visit to the doctor. She took several home tests after experiencing a few "symptoms" and they all came back negative. She decided to make an appointment with a dotor just to double check the home test results. Once the doc gave her the good news, she surprised me with it after work on Monday!
