Angelfish Tankmate?

Last week I decided to euthanize one of my angels in my 45 gallon tank as a result of what we believe was a prolapsed anus. Leaving me with one angel in the tank with a school of rummeynose tetras and cories. I'm looking for a cichlid replacement to add to the tank. While I would prefer something that will stay in the middle to top third of the tank, as the Rummeys rarely leave the bottom of the tank, it is not a requirement.

I have really come to enjoy Blue Acaras and have one in my 55. I imagine one of those would work well with an angel.

What about Apistos? I had moderate success with them in a 30 gallon tank that preceded the 45 and utter failure in my 20g. Would be tempted to try them again, but they are a considerable risk for the cost.

Another cichlid that I have seen in my LFS that has intrigued me is a Festivum.

Would appreciate your guys thoughts!

What else is in the tank currently? I think a BP would be kinda cool
