Adding more fish to 29 Gallon
Hello I have had a 29 gallon tank for at least a year now. I have 8 Dianos, a albino BN Pleco, and I think one ghost shrimp. I'm looking at adding more fish. Any ideas would be helpful. Or would it be best just to have one big school of dianos and then the pleco? How many would fit? Also could I start a colony of shrimp? how many would I need if i wanted to start a colony? Would I need anything special?
Thanks guys and girls!Last edited by kampmanfan4life; 10-31-2012 at 04:29 AM.

The trick will be finding fish that aren't upset all the time by the fast moving danio's. I guess a school of tetra's would be OK....Columbians or Black Skirts, perhaps.

If you go with a group of Tetra's get Bloodfins (10-12). They have the same hyper-temperment as the Danio's that hobbs mentioned and will jump in and school with them once in awile.

Thanks I'll see if my pet store as any of those. I know they are community fish and small so I'm assuming they will be okay with shrimp. If I decide just to add more Dianos and have one big school how many could I add?

Bloodfins will not bother shrimp at all and stay as small as your Danio's.

I like the Pack and I like Rogers better than I ever did Favre. He always seemed to be playing to the TV and all that drama, could have made a reality show out of it.
So we don't get compleatly off fish here'e a pic of bloodfins:Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.

little update after thinking about it I think I may just buy 3-5 more Zebra Dianos.
Also hopfully get some shrimp so they start a colony,I think they need that ball moss breed so i'll get that.
I thought about firemouth cichild cuz when I got the tank, I was going to get a firemouth. But that would probably work but not as ideal size as it should be.29 Gallon: 6 Zebra Dianos, Albino BN Pleco, Ghost Shrimp
