    please could you guys help me with this pleco, ld be more than welcomany additional info would be welcome

    Could it be a juvenile sailfin pleco? Check the size of the dorsal fin

    Plecos can be buggers to get good photos of, but to properly id one you need a photo of the top and the belly side usually.

    What I have found to be rather useful is to browse through the photos of plecos on plecoplanet.com and planetcatfish.com and compare. Plecoplanet has a thumbnail listing by L-number (which is how they are classified) which can narrow it down. Planetcatfish has several member submitted pictures of most plecos which is helpful if you are looking for variation within the type, and it does have a similar plecos linked from within.
