What fish is this?
Can anybody please identify this cichlid

I think it is Xenotilapia spiloptera.

credit to fishbase of course!

Don't know. I think that it looks like a female of a Haplochromis species.
Are you sure that they are malawi or could they be a Victoria cichlid?

not a clue what it is or where it comes from its about 5 inch approx friendly fish femal
does anybody want to swap? all malawi offers considered

yea you may be right about it being a hap. I looked at some pictures and the dorsal fins are much more characteristic of a hap. I am going to look aroung some more.

alan from another site said it could be a otopharynx heterodon female or Copadichromis chrysonatus i think he could be right
