  1. Default Dwarf Gourami Problems!!! Help!!!

I've had four Dwarf Gourami's for almost a year and one died today and another is sick. They're in a tank with small tetras and the tetras are all fine. The water levels are all good. The only thing different is I just moved them to a new tank (proper tank setup was done), but they've been in here about a week now. Idk what to do!!!! Coloring looks good, sick one isn't eating, and most of the time it just lies at the bottom of the tank tilted somewhat...sometimes I think it's dead. Help!

Did you cycle the tank? What is your ammonia level?

I moved your post from "links" into the gourami section.

Until we know the size of your tank and whether it is cycled or not this is my conclusion.

Your new tank isn't cycled, this means the filter(s) don't have enough beneficial bacteria to remove the ammonia your fish produce in their waste.

Secondly gouramis are horrible fish, they have terrible attitudes and can't stand other labrynth fish. So by being in a new tank they will want to fight it out over territories and to establish who is top dog of the tank.

My advice is to read up on cycling, and unless your tank is 70 U.S gallons or more then rehome your gouramis leaving you with 1
    My therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .
