  1. Default What type of dwarf gourami is she?

A few months ago we went out to purchase another honey gourami and came back with two dwarf gouramis. Luckily they get on well with our honey gourami.

Anyway, to the point, the boy is a blue dwarf gourami and we were told the girl was a female version. She's bronze on her back and type of lower fin and the tummy area is silver. Does this sound right or could she be another type of dwarf? Can't find anything like her on the internet.

Where did you get the females from? Most big name brand (petco, petsmart) stores wont sell female gourami's in the USA because they are usually duller in color and when juvenile it's very hard to tell sex until their fins develope more. Can you post a picture?

I'm not sure how long they've been in the tank or how big the tank is. One thing for sure, 3 gouramis in one tank spells trouble, sooner or later.
Da name's Paul. Not Dave. ROFL

Learn to give and take. That's how things should always work.
