Unfertilized eggs

I recently set up a 10 gallon tank with five cherry shrimp and three crystal red shrimp. I'm positive that I have three female and two male cherry shrimp, so I'm sure that they'll breed. However I think that all three of crystal red shrimp could be female. If so, what happens to their unfertilized eggs? Do they lay them and eat them or do they not get laid at all? (Pardon the pun; the eggs, not the shrimp)

first of all.. red cherry shrimp should not be kept with crystal shrimp... the crystal shrimp require much different wter perameters.. they are a very delicate species. all eggs are fetrilized. to further explain check out the thread on guide to red cherry shrimp that i wrote. all the info u need there. i highly suggest re-homing the crystals or getting another tank as they probably will survive... but not for long ...any questions let me know

You can keep RCS and CRS together. They do require different parameters to actually thrive tho. I would say if you targeted the parameters that CRS like you would be better off because RCS can adapt much better then CRS can. I cannot answer your CRS question, but you could always get a few more CRS and hope for a male.
