My Pleco's love cucumbers!

Hello everyone. I've been a member here for a little while but this is my first post on this super-cool forum.

I have 3 Bristlenose Pleco's of various size and 1 Rubberlip/Bulldog Pleco in a 75 gallon tank along with some Cory cats, neons, 2 Angels and a few Silver Dollars.

After reading about how Pleco's like fresh veggies, I decided to give it a whirl, and I think they're glad I did! Two nights in a row I've tossed a chunk of cuke in with a fork for weight and they've had no problems getting used to the idea of fresh food. Of course, I'm not sure if everyone is in on the buffett or if it's just 1 or 2 of them, but at least somebody is chowing down!

I may be a little overstocked with Pleco's but I think they're so cool, and there doesn't seem to be any problems so far. As long as they're happy, I'm happy.

My plecos love cucumbers too, it's amazing how much of it they will actually eat. I have two bristle nose and I'll put a pretty big slice of cucumber in my tank at night and by morning it will be demolished. I have caught my cories eating them before though. They also LOVE zucchini, and I've fed broccoli before too. But from my experience if you feed your plecos veggies and give them some driftwood they will be really happy and love you for it!

Mine use to like fresh vegges.... I don't know what his problem is now but the other fish get a lot more than him, I mite of just moved him too much and he needs to settle before eating on them again. But damn, when he was in the QT tank he hallowed out a large peace overnight.... he slowed down on it in the 20G and now in the 38G he doesn't touch it... little bugger

Cukes and fresh (young) zucchini like before it has seeds!! I buy the plant anchors and use them as sinkers.
