Just a humble little video for your entertainment. This is the tank I have in my classroom. Some days, I need it.

Cardinals look happy so you must have cycled right +1.

Nice setup/arrangement. The fish look healthy and I really like the large number of plants (those alone will do a lot to keep the tank clean while the lights are on.) Not sure but are there only two Rasboras? If the tank has the room, it may not (use the calculator in my signature to determine) but if it does, you might want to increase their number.
Really an excellent tank - your students must love it.
    Knowledge is fun(damental)

A 75 gal with eight Discus, fake plants, and a lot of wood also with sand substrate. Clean up crew is down to just two Sterba's Corys. Filters: continuous new water flow; canister w/UV, in-tank algae scrubber!! Finally, junked the nitrate removal unit from hell.

Thanks! They do indeed seem happy. I cheated on the cycling: This tank has just a simple "bucket filter" hanging on the side. So when I set it up, I took a big hunk of filter medium from my long-established home 55-gallon and popped it in with the regular cartridge. Boom. Instant cycling. Thanks, AC forums, for that little tip. Worked like a charm.

There are only three rasboras. I've been thinking about adding a couple or three more, both for their own little fish sanity, and because they contrast beautifully with the cardinals. I'm going to wait a few weeks more to see how everyone is doing before adding anything else, though. I had bad troubles with this tank a year ago, mostly because I overstocked, then made continuous changes. Taking it eeeeeeasy...

I also would like to add a beta, but again I want to wait a while. After that, a couple tinfoil barbs. Maybe a small school of goldfish. (kidding, kidding)

Oh, and yes, the kids love it. I teach elementary music, so I have every kid in the school at some point. About a quarter of the class always beelines to the fish tank when they come in to say hi and see how everyone is doing :)

It might be the lights but some of the cardinals look a little faded out and not the bright red they should have. I can't tell if the fish are a little faded or if it's the lightening, tho, or my OLD eyes. LOL

Your tank is very cute. I think I would omit the Betta or your cardinals may start hiding more.

I love my neon and harley tank. Neons are finally begging me for food....after a year.

Good eye, Lady hobbs! Half of the cardinals came from the pet store a week ago and they haven't colored up all the way yet.
