best gravel vac

if you ask me DIY all the way nothing beats a 2l soda bottle with some mesh and tubing at the neck with the bottom cut out !

Just make sure whatever it is, it telescopes open. Make sure the pump is strong enought to reach whatever depth you are trying to reach.

I would say do your water change first using the aqueon to siphon water out, drain out the water then use a battery operated vac -like this http://www.eheim.com/en_GB/products/.../quick_vac_pro- so that you're not getting the battery wet.
