I am going to restock one of my heavily planted 15g it currently has 4 bns and two gold rams , i am thinking 6-9 neons or cardinals i currently have both available to me and wish to make a decision by weekend , do you guys think i should go with neons or cardinals or a mix of both & why?
I personally would not add another thing to that tank due to it's size. In fact, I would not have the current stock in there if it were my tank.

really ? i never had a prob before , in fact my rams spawn in there frequently , it's got a 20 gal internal filter plus a chock a block of plants plus i do 50% water changes weekly you kinda shook me up there lol , so what do you suggest i stock then ? cuz with my current stock the tank looks a bit sparse and i wanna liven it up

Well, the rams may be fine in there by themselves although I wouldn't put them in anything less than a 20 gallon long myself, but that is more for the swimming room than the water quality. The BNs just get too large for a 15g, especially 4 of them. There too I would keep one in a 20g long but not all four.

Get neons. I have cardinals in mine and they ate the GBR frys
With BNs in the tank it will not matter anyway because they will eat all the eggs before they become fry.

the Bns are pretty small and i intend to try breeding them and the breeder i bought them from uses a similar set up so i thought i'd give it a go , my water is always fine even when i skip a wc now and then , but i do intend to remove the rams and swap them for a pair of cacatuoides ,
so you dont think i can spare some room in the tank for a small school of neons or cardinals , don't get me wrong i treasure the opinions of other fishkeepers , otherwise i'd of gone and got em already lol
here is a video showing the tank and some of the fish ( i said 10 gallon in the vid but i actually meant 15 lol
