Tank in an unheated room?

I am thinking about getting a larger tank. My meanie wife LOL won't allocate any more house room for another tank. I have an enclosed unheated front porch. If I were to move my present tank to the porch and oversize the heaters would the front porch work?

It depends on how cold the porch gets, how big your tank is and how powerful your heaters are.

Just let her sleep there and move the tank into the bedroom.

+1 to homemadepopcorn. Also the heaters can't cool a tank down, so rising temperatures would be a factor in the summer.

All depends on your average ambient temperature

depending on how stable the temperature is in your porch
you could just stock with species such as goldfish, rosy red minnows and white cloud mountain minnows that don't mind low temperatures. goldfish and rosy reds can survive ponds frozen over and I have kept white clouds at as low as 16°C without any issues.
