What's the first Saltwater Fish you kept?

I had 2 Yellow tailed Damselfish to seed my tank with with. I then purchased a Keyhole Angel and Bi-Color Angel. After moving them from quarantine tank to the main tank the Keyhole died but because I did all the proper steps the store gave me credit. I moved on to a Copper Banded Butterflyfish, Threadfin Butterfly, Blue Tang, Coral Beauty, Cleaner Warrase and Flame Angel.

So can I start interesting threads or what? LOL. Just thought people would like to share what their first Salwater fish were or are.

The first marine fish that I kept was a pair of black clownfish

Do you still have a marine tank ?
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

No the last year It was up and running was 1988. They seem to be easier to keep; I can't believe all the strides I've read about, here and in magazines. Someday again Maybe.

By the way the pictures I've seen of your tank are realy nice, always gets the juices flowing.

I'm not into marine tanks, apart from cliffs though

Just thought I'd chip in, flame angels are £80 over here, soooo approx 110 U.S dollars!!

    Expensive!!!!
    My therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .

$90.00 Canadian over here from a good SW LFS so I know what you mean Scottishfish. However, most of that is also due to the permits required to help prevent the importing of endangered fish so I'm not all that up-set about the higher prices.

The guy who owns the SW LFS here in town has been keeping marine tanks since the early 1980s. When he talks about the equipment and technologies back then, I am amazed at how much the hobby has progressed

I paid forty dollars for my Flame Angel back in 1987, it was by far the most expensive fish I ever bought. Fell in love with them the first time I saw them.
