    Default Aeon's Low Tech 20

Had a 20g lying around that I wanted to do something with, and since I had an experimental canopy that I built to fit it I decided to give it a shot.

Here is the canopy design and build

    Simple DIY canopy

For now I am using an air powered sponge filter I keep cycled in the sump for my 100g. This will be upgraded as needed. Substrate is black diamond blasting sand.

The hardscape for now is mangrove wood sustainably harvested by myself and prepared by soaking and bleaching.

I have added a couple plants so far but will be planting it fully over the next week. As of now I have Bacopa monnieri and jungle vals which will grow far too long for the tank. This will be replaced with a smaller variety I have growing in one of my ponds.

For now the tank is stocked with four young kuhli loaches. I intend to add a school of cardinals whenever I find any at the lfs. The loaches have made good use of the driftwood so far. I will update this journal as changes are made.

That bit of wood in your 100g is the best I've ever seen. Looks amazing.

    Great looking tanks Aeonflame
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

The tank has filled in somewhat. I also added a couple more plants. Still no other fish apart from the loaches. I'm thinking a couple dwarf cichlids at this point.

Well done, Aeon. Your tanks look amazing (+1 to amelia on the driftwood). Really like the design of your canopy, too.
