Send some good vibes my way guys!
So, a few weeks after a trip to the emergency room I get a letter telling me my chest X-Ray was abnormal...
After consulting with my family doctor he has ordered a cat scan (I guess that's how you write it) and then a follow up appointment with him the same day.
Aside from the obvious worry this causes, I'll have to find a babysitter for my 2 year old so I can have the cat scan. Then travel the 40 minutes to get there. Then I have to double back, pick up the boy (lol) and go the opposite direction (about 10 mins) to the reg doc.
OH this is going to be a busy/stressful day.130g: 7 Angelfish, 1 Bolivian, 17 Neon Tetras, 14 Serpae Tetras, 9 Kuhli Loaches, 1 Otocinslus, ? Ghost Shrimp
I've noticed that people HATE it when you point out how stupid they are, so now I try to do it politely.

That really sucks. Hope you're okay!
Teach that 2 year old some character, make him walk and meet you halfway.

I hope everything is OK! You are going to be very busy, but hopefully they are just double-checking something.
One of my dear, dear, and quite elderly friends had some "spots" on her lungs. Even in that case she was fine. At your age (I assume if you have a two year old you can't be quite approaching elderly yet) you should be OK.
Hey, I have a 2 year old too! Actually 23 months, but acts fully like she's two. It can be very difficult trying to maneuver them in any direction other than the one they want! Good luck.

Good luck Mandy. I have asthma and have had pneumonia many times because of it. My lungs have scarring from the pneumonia, I hope it's nothing more serious than that for you too.
If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

Thanks everyone. I'm hoping this was just some side effect from being sick (hence the emergency room visit) that has now gone away.
Bethy: When you're right, you're right! In all actuality I could probably take him with me, but I'd hate to have a nurse or something try to keep him still while I do the scan. He'd rather go to Papaw's for a while, I'm sure. :) And no, I'm def not elderly! Lol! I'm 24.
mommy1: Me too. I don't have asthma or anything, but I have BAD allergies. So bad that I suspect they were the reason I got sick in the first place. They gave me an albuterol inhaler before I left, which I've never had. I haven't used it yet though. I'm saving it for when I REALLY need it.
Thanks again to everyone else!!

The odds are in your favor ...
The vast majority of the time, stuff like this turns out to NOT be serious. They're checking just to be sure.
As an example, I've had all the heart symptoms they warn us about, yet when I've had them thoroughly checked out, all they can come up with as a possible cause is "anxiety". My arteries are clear. My EKGs are always normal. The stress test was normal. My blood pressure more often than not is within the safe range. My cholesterol is good.
So, while symptoms and vague things like "spots" can be scary at first, in the final analysis, it USUALLY doesn't amount to much, if anything.
I'll bet you'll find that in your case, too.

Thanks mermaid. It sure does suck up the money though doesn't it? I'm lucky my insurance kicked in on the first. The first time we've actually had our own insurance in 5 years, and 8 days into it I have a butt load of things to use it for....
Maybe if I went back to not having any they'd go back to not caring.130g: 7 Angelfish, 1 Bolivian, 17 Neon Tetras, 14 Serpae Tetras, 9 Kuhli Loaches, 1 Otocinslus, ? Ghost Shrimp
