Video and pics as promised: I took these tonight after work. There is Multifaciatus and White Calvus (hiding right now though.) I've added even more shells to the tank since the pics and vid. The Multis took over the tank in a matter of seconds when I introduced them. lol I will be putting some java fern and moss maybe some other low light plants in the tank. A shipment is coming on Friday. Hope you like the vid. I know the quality is not that great. I didn't have much time to take this one. The rock is Texas Holey Rock, And red/black lava rock.

Great looking set-up Jeff
You have really done a nice job setting up this tankIf you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Beautiful, Love it, very inspiring.
Could that set up work in a 10 gallon?

Thank you. Yes, a ten gallon can work with Multi's. I would not suggest the Calvus though. I only have the Calvus in there as a grow out for when they go into my 55. Right now they are juveniles and grow very slowly but, they have the potential to be 6-7" and become extremely territorial when they do finally mature. For a ten gallon you could do Multi's, like 5-6 to start a colony. They need pristene water conditions as well as high ph/kh/gh values like the rest of the Rift Cichlids.

Starting to develop diatoms on the rocks, shells and java fern leaves as well as a little green algae (I want green algae).
Also, Java fern is really starting to take off with new growth. Six of the now have about 3-4 new leaf sprouts coming out of their rhizomes. I'm thinking of planting some anubias nana in the tank as well. Will update more if I do.
