Diy C02
I plan on putting a DIY C02 setup on my 65g.
I had planned to use a juice bottle and a 2 liter bottle for my reactors, and a water bottle for the third chamber. My question was with the yeast mixture.
I was wondering if 2 cups of water, 2 cups of sugar, and a 1/4 cup of of yeast(Activated). Will this mixture work or should i add another reactor? Finally reached 6 tanks... oh god, this addiction is getting serious. 75g mbuna tank, 65g gold severum, 55g OB peacock breeding colony, 30g(36x18) growout, 20 long Dwarf Alto's, 10g fry tank.
If I die young bury me in... An 8x2x2 with versa tops and a large sump for adequate filtration;)

When I used a DIY CO2 reactor, I used a 2 liter pop bottle which I filled 3/4 the way full with warm water, 2cups of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of yeast. I would add the water and suger and mix it up really well. I would add the yeast last and shake it up a little more
Seamed to work well for me. This would last about 10 days. I had two bottles with a third overflow bottle (pic below)
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

I'd use a 1/4 tsp of yeast.
I can keep my DIY CO2 going for a month when I mix in a multi-vitamin.

Crush it up into a powder and shake until it all dissolves. I can never really get all of it into solution but its the thought that counts right?

hmm I'll have to give it a try. I mixed up my first batch just now and attached the system(I already had it made). How long until i should expect to see bubbles?
