5 gal stocking ideas
So, my 5 gal is empty and I am thinking about what to stock it with. Would a female betta sorority or a two male bettas with a divider work? I'm open to any ideas you guys have as I fully trust you.

In my opinion it would not work with either option. A sorority needs at least a 10 and preferably a 20g. http://www.fishforums.com/forum/bett...rity-tank.html
And I don't think splitting a small 5g between two males is enough room for each. A 5 g would work for one male betta, or some shrimp. If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?
Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

Shrimp, snails, and frogs are usually good companions for a betta (but some bettas are insane)
The only other fish types are microfish. And I mean truly micro...less than an inch usually.10 gallon with a veiltail betta, 7 neons, 1 ADF, and one neat moss ball.
20 gallon with 6 female black phantoms, and 1 schwartzi cory

Shrimp tank or microfish as mentioned are your best bets by far... With snails naturally.

My vote's for a single male betta. But then, I'm biased toward bettas ^_^;;;; Feel free to ignore me

If you do not like betas you could also try croaking gouramis. They have a max length of around 4 cm.

I have a 5.5G betta tank and it's my favourite tank. :) It used so sit by my bed when I was at home and now it's on my dining table. Betta's are great little companions.

My betta does will with the 3 red wag sword tails and few tetra I have but it also depends on his temperament. At most my betta flares his fins and chase them although it's mostly for his own amusement. He's never nipped at them or anything like that.
