Chiller for 120g FOWLR
I need to lower my temp about 4-5 degrees in a 120g FOWLR. The Coralife 1/4 hp is rated up to 125g, but I've read that oversizing a chiller is recommended so that it works less, hence lasts longer. My issue is the $200-$300 difference in price between the 1/4 hp and the 1/2 hp (the 1/2 hp is rated for up to 250g). Any advice on this? Feel free to recommend other chiller brands too.

If price IS an issue, than you should be fine with the 1/4hp chiller. But if price isn't an issue than go ahead and buy the 1/2. Buying the lesser powered one will not raise an issue for your tank and will work perfectly.
Hope I helped. ~Chris"when i fish jumps out of the water just to bite you, they do not like you" - Unknown

If you need to lower your temp by 4 to 5 F, I would assume that your current temp is around 83 to 84 F.
Based on what I have read, that is a lot for a chiller to maintain. I would be worried a chiller only rated for 125 gallons would run almost non stop and run up your power bill. I would suggest looking into one that is rated higher than your tank volumn. Less power and less risk that way. Cutting corners on equipement usally is not a good idea
But like I said, I have no personal experiance using chilliers as our house is has AC.If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
