Divided 5-Gallon Update
Got a decent pic of my divided 5-gallon

Left side: Rainbow (fancy tricolor CT/DT mix)
Right side: Ruby (red female) and Echo (world's slowest-changing chameleon, female betta)
I have some other things to add... more plants for Rainbow's side, and some rearranging to do on the girls' side. The filter is still cycling in the big tank... It was almost finished when the girls started getting sick, so I pitched the media and started over again. Did NOT want to chance any possible contaminants jumping tanks. When my check comes in (should be next week) I'll be getting some more gravel for the tank; it's not deep enough to hold the plants on place, and they keep drifting loose. This time I'll be going for black gravel, to mix with the "clown vomit" (thank you so much for that term, Col XP) but not replacing the colored stuff altogether. I like my tanks bright, and the bettas seem to like investigating (and occasionally rearranging) the different colors.

Hey, I like those shells! Are they real?

I got a pack of two from either the craft store or the dollar store, so I couldn't say for certain, but I believe they are real shells.

They look really good! What are the little white things at the bottom of the left side?

Plastic glow-in-the-dark craft ornaments ^^; They're like smooth river stones, only plastic and glowy. They actually hold a glow for hours; it surprised me. I have seen them scooting around the tank in the dark, so someone likes playing with them

That'd look funny! I don't see anything moving around in my tank, at night, but I do hear some splashing and stones being spat out against the glass!

It's funny... Like having a firefly in the room. First time I couldn't figure out what the heck the moving glowing thing was. Turned on the light and lo and behold, a betta scooting a plastic glow ornament across the tank XD

Is it awkward to clean?55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos
25 g Tropical Tank - Celestial Pearl Danio/Mixed

I'm still waiting on the filter, so this tank gets cleaned by having the fish removed, the water drained, and everything cleaned in very hot water before being reset. No more awkward than any of the other tanks. It'll be easier to deal with when the filter goes in.

I think I'm just about done with this tank now... Just waiting on the filter.

Left side: Rainbow. Fancy tricolor crowntail/double tail mix. Cranky bugger.

Right side: Cloud. Pale pink female spadetail with streaks of darker pink and blue in her fins. Seems to enjoy winding Rainbow up.

The right side was occupied by a pair of females, but the sudden death of Moondance left Cloud alone and confused in the big tank. I moved her out and put Ruby and Echo into the 10, and Cloud is now sharing this tank with Rainbow.
