What foods should I get?
0
Tomorrow, I'm going to be getting some ADF, Ghost Shrimps, a Mystery Snail and maybe a few platy's or two for my 10 gallon tank. I know I can get flakes for the platy's, but what type of food should I get for the rest of the gang? I'm totally confused. I have some algae wafers, freeze dried blood worms and sinkable pellets for when I had some catfish. Will these be okay for the ADF, Snail and Shrimps?

I heard that there are special sinking pellets for frogs specifically, although I am not sure. Shrimp will eat naturally occurring algae in your tank or sinking pellets. Snails will do the same although you could also feed them slices of zucchini or courgette weighed down with a fork. Have you cycled the tank?

How will keeping frogs and shrimp work together? Seems to me the shrimp would be food for the frogs. I've never had frogs so don't know.

I wondered about frogs with shrimp too.
And I'm also wondering ... have you cycled your tank? If not, your frogs most likely be the first casualties as bottom dwelling critters bear the bulk of the ammonia and nitrite concentration.
If you have questions about cycling ... there are stickies here to help and a lot of people willing to help as well

I agree. You start stocking a 10 gallon and high ammonia will kill your fish and bottom feeders will be the first to go. Cycling links below.
