Cleaning tank. Use vinegar, rubbing alcohol or dish soap?
The only vinegar I have is apple cider vinegar, does it matter? I saw somewhere online that rubbing alcohol would be okay, but have mostly seen vinegar used, and the tropical fish ebook from here said dish washing liquid.
So I don't know what I should use. I am in the process of resealing the tank.- Kate

Never use soap, liquid or otherwise.
When in doubt, do a water change.

White vinegar and hot water is all I ever use on aquariums and equipment. You can buy a gallon jug for around $3.

You could honestly use the apple vineagr or even the soap. The truth is that an aquarium is glass and not porous so no matter what you use it will rinse out with no trace.

I agree with KingFisher and 850R. Use white vinegar and hot water.

While I am sure everyone is posting the best advice they are capable of it IS important to note that:
A good dechlorinator or even time will eliminate chlorine. The same cannot be said for detergents.
When considering the amount of rinsing involved [+ The endless wondering.. Did I get it all? Is silicone pourous?] ... You are better off just not going there as Taurus mentioned.
Good to hear, That some hot water and some elbow grease are all you are going to need.Too late already went and bought normal vinegar, haha. It's all good, though was cheap.
