I do weekly 25% water changes. And yeah, I have a gravel vacuum that I use each time I change the water.

man, thats tough b/c your maint schedule is decent (i prefer at least 50% each week, but to each there own)

I'd call up the LFS and see if they've had complaints about their cory's...my petco kept getting in very very weak cory's so they stopped for about 2 months until the distributor could do better, and now it's better....could be about to hit that issue with your lfs. happens when they push the issue on getting the fish out to the stores before they are ready :/

Thanks for all your input/help Mizzou :-) I'll go in there tonight and ask if they've had a lot of returns recently and then wait it out before I attempt to bring home any more cory.
