Peacocks/Haps Or Mbunas ?

it seems labs are commonly housed with peacocks and haps why is that the only mbuna recommended? if they arnt what other mbuna is safe to do ?

I'd say you would be better off picking one or the other. In an all male peacock/hap tank a male mbuna would probably just add more unnecessary aggression. It can be done though if your tank is very well maintained and the fish aren't stressed. However, they would need more hiding places than the strictly peacock/hap setup, and the layout you described doesnt really offer a plethora of caves.

Im going to show you the look im going for in my tank set up. I just asked because ive been browsing and seen multiple yellow labs in such setups so i googled that question and people say since labs are the less agressive of the mbunas that they are do able and since locally i lack variety and its not a good idea to put multiple of the same peacocks in the tank i was thinking i may have to add a lab, but yea here is the look im going for simple but satisfying.

Yeah as long as the peacocks outnumber the labs they generally do well. That's a nice looking setup in the vid, very nice peacocks.
