Suspended algae problem

I have a 120 gal freshwater tank with an eheim g160 canister filter
And my water is greeny and not clear. I have been told this is suspended
Algae. I have tried chemicals and a max clear product that is pebbles
That go in my filter. Nothing seems to work. I change my fine filter every
Month. The tank is only two months old so I haven't reached the 6 month timeline recommended by eheim to start changing other parts of the canister. I remember having this problem in another tank and it was a spent charcoal filter. So I am wondering if I should start changing my other filter internals like my bio or course mechanical. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My water parameters are all in spec as I have been doing water changes to try to clear the water. I also add aquarium salt and have live plants

Is your tank near a window? What percentage water changes do you do? How often?

It is not near a window. I do however have a two lamp t5 light and two t8 for lighting for my plants which are on about 10 hours a day. Not sure if that's too much

My water changes are 20-30% bi weekly but have been more frequent since the green water

Jeffsdime! Geez louise man!! How ya been?
Op. Drop your lighting amount to just the t5s,drop the schedule back to 7 hrs a day and up the wc to 25% a week and do gravel vacs weekly as well. Cut back to minimum feeding of fish and don't dose any liquid ferts til the green water goes away. Should take about a week and half with my recomendations. Stop using all chems,don't change your filter media at all,simply rinse it clean in nonclorinated water,never change your biomedia. Increase aeration as well.

You could even change more water, like 50% every other day (or more)

Have you tested for nitrates and phosphated latley ???
