is my Columbian Red sick?
Hi,
I have 4 columbian redfin tetras in a comunity 180litre tank (with 7 neons, 3 phantoms, 3 clown loaches, and a pleccy.
Recently one of the columbians, the smallest one, has seemed to have lost its horizontal buoyancy and is constantly swimming around with its nose in the air.
What is wrong with him/her?180 litre (36 gallon approx for the guys in the U.S.)
Fluval U4 3 way filter, 2 air rails, juwel 200 litre heater
5 neon Tetra's, 4 Columbian reds, 3 Phantom Tetra's, 1 Bulldog Plec

Does he have any thing that looks bizarre on his body? How long have you had him?

Swim bladder. You can try some peas but doubt he will make it. I just remove fish that do that so they don't suffer.

I presume the poor fella will die of exhaustion eventually constantly having to swim upwards all of the time.
We got the 4 columbians about 5 weeks ago not long after start up cycling was complete and the other three have grown noticeably whereas this one has not.....180 litre (36 gallon approx for the guys in the U.S.)
