Flowering Plants?
I just bought a really neat plant for my tank that kindof spirals. the store guy said that if the top of the tank was open that it would flower if it grew out, but hed never actually seen it. Are there any other plants that flower out the top? that would be so cool to have.

Well i know of one that will but they are hard to grow. It is a banana plant. The roots look like bananas.
Now i have had luck with them. Mine grew up tall and made little lilly pads at the top and then after you get a couple of them then they will bud and flower. Now mine had a bud on it but then the next day i woke up....i had noticed that something had ate the whole plant. I was MAD. lol. But maybe it will grow and flower for you.
They are cheap but hard to grow.

i would love to have some sort or lily setup. that would be incredible. im guessing the setup would be open top with some sort of mounted compact lighting?? probably end up spending like 90 bucks on a good light eh? :(

no you can just have the lid on it like a normal tank. Thats all i had and they grew fine. So you wouldn't need anything special.

There are several tropical lilies and lotus that can grow in a tropical aquarium. Google the genuii Nuphar and Nymphaea for some choices.
