My Bala sharks eating my live plant.
I have java fern, corkscrew Val and jungle Val plants. My Bala sharks eat the jungle Val only is this common? It's really pissing me off that they destroying my plants.

Then maybe you will get mad enough to take them back? Bala's don't belong in anything much under 200 gallons.

Not to harp...but I second that.
LFS across the town has their balas in a 300 and 600gallon.
putting those bala's into that size tank...is literally like you grabbing 3 people and trying to take a shower...sure there is room to wiggle, but you won't enjoy it.
I have a 15.6in diagonal laptop right now(standard size)-where I'm typing this right now.
If I had a full grown bala, it would barely fit on the screen...as a size reference.
I can keep going with these metaphors to help sink in the issues that you have.

The question was is it common for them to eat plants? I now about the tank size is too small I will be upgrading.

Right, well I sure hope you stick to that plan to upgrade.
But i'll be honest, from my experience with fish, that when they are not in their appropriate home, they don't act their normal way. but that is me. others my have different view points/experiences
