    Default Bicher and Cichilds

    0 Not allowed!
Hi I am new here and have just set a new 200L tank from a 90L. I have a Bicher, 4 x cichilds, 1 x plec and 1 x danio. I know the plec and bicher may out grow the 200L tank but in the meantime can you advise me on what other fish would co-habit with this group. They all get on great so dont want to upset them by bringing in something that would be too aggresive. Would like some colour as all this group if possible.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm..do you only have 1 danio because it was eaten? If not, I would add more for it to school.

Do you know what sex your FM are?

I would do severums for your tank. There are several types that are very colorful, and they tend to stay in the middle to upper half of the tank. Also, they will not breed with your FM. Many central american cichlids will breed with each other.

thanks Rocksor thats really helpful and yes we only have 1 danio because the other 2 did get eaten - they were a bit too small so were a good meal for our Bicher!!! a lesson learnt there. The Fm's are 2 male and 2 female, just looked at severums they are lovely so think i will get some of those (how many is a good number) and also more (larger) danios, that will do for now till they all settle in together.

    thanks again.

As to the number of severums, it kinda depends on the final size of your new tank. They are not really a schooling type and can be fine alone.

Giant Danios might be a better bet if you want bigger dither fish, or spotted silver dollars, which do not get as big as the common silver dollars.
