  1. Default Pencil Urchin Fading to White and losing spines

    Hello,
I have a HUGE pencil urchin, it is fading to white and dropping spines. Does this mean he is rotting away? Still actively moves around and eats ALL the coraline algae. I am thinking of returning it to the wild since it is native to where I live... I paid a pretty penny for it 4 months ago. Any suggestions?

  2. Default

Its irrelevant whether its native to your area,it was in your tank and who knows what it could carry back into that environment. Rehome it to a lfs you trust or qt it and wait out whatever is wrong with it.

  3. Default

Thanks. I am waiting it out...
