    I don't know where the hell I got the idea that 92 F was the appropriate temp for cycling a tank. Sometimes I amaze myself by how many mistakes I make. So I now lowered the temp to 82 F. I hope this helps. My fw tank has been cycling fish less for over two weeks.

    Actually, you were fine at 92F.

    "Water temperature also affects the rate of nitrification. Nitrification reaches a maximum rate at temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees C (86F and 95F)."

    Isn't it great that you are making mistakes that don't hurt any fish? Lots of people make mistakes with stocked tanks, and dead fish are the result. You are making mistakes in the best possible way!
