Cross breeding amongst shrimp?
Hey guys I just bought a snowball shrimp, yellow shrimp, and red cherry shrimp. I just wanted to know if they will interbreed and produce viable offspring, and if so which gene will be the dominant and show itself?

Do not mix them in the same tank if you wish the offspring to remain true.
All Neocaridina shrimp will interbreed and the offspring do just fine, The color traits are all recessive so if you mix colors the dominant natural color [Light/clearish brown] is the gene expressed.
[RCS and Yellows are Neocaridina heteropoda & Snowballs are Neocaridina cf. Zhangjiajiensis].

Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Why pretend there are no stupid questions? Actually, There are many stupid questions: "Should I drink this bleach?" Is just one example.
Having said that, Just because it's a stupid question doesn't mean that it shouldn't be asked. It's better to know.
A warm beer is better than a cold beer. Because nothing is better than a cold beer, and a warm beer is better than nothing.

Hmmm -- I still have a couple of red cherries in my 20 (the bulk of them died off this summer when the tank's temp shot up to 84-degrees while we were out of town), and I recently added two Amano shrimp. I wonder if the Amanos might breed with the cherries? I don't mind having hybrids, and it would help to repopulate my tank without my having to purchase anymore shrimp.

those 3 shrimp are actually like 3 of the 4 shrimp you do not want to interbreed together, the other being the Neo. Hetero... which is the "original" of the 3. take a look at my thread in the invert section it will explain alot. not only about red cherry shrimp but other shrimp as well
