    Default Introducing snails into aquarium

    0 Not allowed!
Just ordered 50 snails off an online site.. I have a 65 gallon tank and a 90 gallon breeder set up and two 10 gallon quarintine tanks, been at it now for about a year with this set up. Roughly 8 or 9 years in the hobby. I however am very new to the snail world. Was wondering if there was anything I need to do with these snails before introducing them to my tanks... Do I need to temper them in like fish? Do I need to rinse them first with tap or tank water? Do I just throw them in?? I have spent a good 3 hours over the past couple days trying to find out, but there is nothing online about how to introduce them. Thanks in advance for any advice!!

You could acclimate them although it probably isn't as necessary as it is for fish. Test their water and see how different it is from yours... that should give you an idea of how to introduce them into the tank.

I've just dumped mine in the tank before... no deaths.
