Mason Jar breeder...in main tank! Will this setup work?
I struggled with deciding where to post, so im sorry in advance and if this is better suited else where please let me know! Also, I'm not sure if this attachment will post!
So my albino cory cats laid eggs, luckily a lot of them were on a dwarf lily leaf. I snipped the leaf, put it in a mason jar with 100% tank water, and before putting the seal on, (i know this seems shabby!) i put two fishnets over the mouth of jar, put some holes in the metal lid, and secured it over the netting. i have laid the jar on its side in the bottom of the tank, and branched some airline tubing into one of the holes in the jar lid. a small airpocket has formed in the top of the jar, but it is staying the same size, and bubbles are exiting the jar so i can see the oxygen exchange occuring. Does this sound absolutely horrible and rediculous, or am i basically doing it right? The only thing i have hatched prior to this was mystery snails lol, and i hatched them by doing nothing.
I figure this provides dissolved oxygen for the eggs, also the benefits of being inside of the parent tank and operating with the same water parameters and temp that they were laid in. Any input is appreciated!fish are aliens

my concern is that you won't get water circulation over the eggs and they'll be prone to fungus. Pumping air in my help with that some, not sure. How do the eggs look so far?

the eggs on the leaf in the jar still look the same as the ones on the glass walls...what if i rotate the jar periodically to ensure new water?
