Seeing as Glofish are Danios, the tank absolutely was not made specifically for them. It's just marketing.
I also would not just let the fish die. That's cruel after all. See if your local fish store will take them, or purchase a 10g tank. Most places have 10g's for $10.
I would also def write to the organization as suggested. Perhaps you can actually help them, help teachers. :)130g: 7 Angelfish, 1 Bolivian, 12 Neon Tetras, 14 Serpae Tetras, 9 Kuhli Loaches, 1 Otocinslus, 1 Corydora ? Ghost Shrimp
I've noticed that people HATE it when you point out how stupid they are, so now I try to do it politely.

Eh, a 10g for glofish is still a little small. They are super active and need room to swim (genetically modified zebra danios). Would do in a pinch, but not ideal.
10 gallon with a veiltail betta, 7 neons, 1 ADF, and one neat moss ball.
20 gallon with 6 female black phantoms, and 1 schwartzi cory

Agreed, but it's better than a 1.5g. Since the OP didn't really plan on spending any of her own money on this project, I'd guess cheaper would be the way she'd want to go.

Oh no, no, no, I didn't mean for that to sound like I was actively going to let the fish die (or, passively, I guess, lol). I just meant that it sounded like they're doomed. Thanks for the advice on the shrimp, I'm glad there's a section about them.
