live food
Is there a live food i can culture that would be okay to feed as a staple to my fresh water fish. I was thinking of raising brine shrimp but i have read that it is not a good idea to feed only brine shrimp to freshwater fish

if you're looking for something small to culture, try 'wingless fruitflies'. very easy to culture and fish love 'em.

For small fish or fry, you can try a microworm culture. Easy to maintain and feed. For larger fish could order black worms.

I feed our fish mosquito larvae. Some people worry about the nasties the larvae could be carrying but I've had no trouble and the fish love them!
