Hey folks, got some of these guys left in another tank of mine. Hadn't planned on selling them again, but have gotten a few messages about them. 30 Red Cherry Shrimp $25 shipped. Shrimp will come with a bit of java moss or subwassertang to hang on to in the bag. Still have some more small sponge filters as well, I can add $2. Work well on small 2.5h and 5g tanks.

Cleaning up the place so may add some more odds and ends to the thread.

I'd take them if I weren't sure they'd be eaten. ;/ Sad day!

ooooh my!! I want those so badly!! I was told however that my Platys would make dinner of any shrimp I put in. One of these days, I'll get a second tank. There will be RCS in there, for sure.

(Should I just re-name them piggy one and piggy two...? The third Platy does not seem such a dang pig, guess he gets crowded out.)

No time line, I'll have this tank for a long while still I think. The tank I'm taking them from now is the 40g planted tank. In an earlier message last year is when I took down my original 20g tank that had the rcs in them.

I have no experience with platys and RCS together personally, but I will tell you that I have full grown rummynose, glowlight, and black neon tetras in a 30 gallon tank, and I have cherry shrimp that have successfully bred in there. When the reach a large enough size, they will come out in the open in the daylight. I attribute their success to the java moss and rock nooks and crannies in my tank for them to hide in and around. Even though people said it couldn't be done, I put shrimp in there anyway (Lol) because I already had a shrimp only 10 gallon. They seem to have taken hold and established. Just sharing my experience :)

I have RCS in my 10 gallon with loads of platys...as long as there are plenty of hiding places like GT mentioned, they do just fine with the platys
