Those crops are pretty green for late August in Northern Alberta
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

That green field is part of a Provincial Grazing Reserve, and is directly across from our house. There were cows on the field earlier this summer, and then they plowed it and planted a mix of grains for next season (I am assuming). I know there is canola in there (had already flowered), but I am not sure what the rest is. Rye? Oats? I'm not good at crop identification
