Beautiful dog, and a very lucky one, in more ways than one. Here's hoping he recovers quickly and completely. (Ya suppose he's learned his lesson?)

Hope he's doing better today?

Sorry I didn't respond to this sooner. Suda Nim, RJ is a black tri Australian Shepherd. I have raised Aussies since 1983.
Mermaidwannabe, nope...he hasn't learned a thing. He has no association with his ingestion of non-digestible items and the consequences of such. When he was 9 months old, he ate two pounds of bird seed, the latch off his crate and a plastic lid. I was able to induce vomiting and he suffered no ill effects. This time, he required surgery as the cob was stuck in his pyloris.
Lady Hobbs, he's doing well today. We've taken out his IV and he's eating small amounts of gruel. Thanks for asking about him.

Keeping my fingers crossed for Cobb! Hope he does well...
Our 3 year old Catahoula X won't leave any bedding unshredded. I was pretty worried he'd eat pieces of it if he was bored enough...so the poor guy has to sleep on a piece of wood. He's eating that too...but slowly enough I'm not concerned...
