PS, making mistakes doesn't make you dumb, not in the slightest. So don't feel bad about that. But knowing the answer to your problem and ignoring it isn't a good thing.130g: 7 Angelfish, 1 Bolivian, 17 Neon Tetras, 14 Serpae Tetras, 9 Kuhli Loaches, 1 Otocinslus, ? Ghost Shrimp
I've noticed that people HATE it when you point out how stupid they are, so now I try to do it politely.

I think it depends on the type of Gouramis. I've had them for my whole life and never had problems with pearls, turquoise, powder blue and dwarf together. I would recommend like others that you have a bigger tank. I had one of each listed above in a 40 gallon with other fish for about 3 years no problems at all no illness or fighting.

You will also have an alpha fish. Now that one has died, another will become the alpha and probably kill the other one. 18 gallons is too small for these fish anyway, IMO.

+1 to everyone on this thread. lol
gourami's are mean lil suckers.
I had a Dwarf in my 45 and that was HIS tank. if you were in his area. he'd make sure you would be the farthest from it as fast as possible. big ol' bully.
Cool fish, but not for the set up I have or what you have.
